Trans-Siberian Express expo (Brussels, 5 - 2 -2006)

Rating:★★★★★
Category:Other
Europalia Russia is almost over and done. One of the last exhibits still running is the one about the trans-Siberian express and it's great fun!
It was quite crowdy last sunday so if you still want to visit (ends at 26 februari) I suggest going on a weekday ;-)

The exhibit goes from one station to another; starting in Moskou and ending in Vladivostok (obviously). For every city / station there are exciting pictures, objects and stories. What tribes live there? And what are their customs? What well-known person has lived there or wrote about the city? What is the city known for?
You will find answers to these questions and of course some history on the building of the railway itself.

The exhibit is very well designed (ok, sometimes it's a bit too small for a crowd but aren't trains too sometimes?); it gives every city the right atmosphere. There are some movies and music to be seen / heard which also adds to the experience.

If you cannot go you can consider buying the visitors guide because almost all objects and info is in it ;-)
The exhibit is in the KMKG / MRAH (royal museum for art and history) in Brussels (Jubelpark / Parc Cinquantenaire) and you can also visit the main museum with your ticket ;-)
