Dots Obsession - Yayoi Kusama (Brussels, 30-9-2007)

This is the second exhibit in the new Wiels art centre. The building (1920's/30's) used to be a brewery and isn't yet totally finished on the inside (no elevators for in stance).

The exhibit is a real must see because it's just not the same as seeing the pictures. You really have to be inside the weird world of dots from this Japanese artist.
An interesting fact is that Yayoi Kusama has been in private psychiatric institution voluntarily since 1977. She has her own apartment on the hospital grounds now and a studio elsewhere.
