Madrid: Food!
Very important part of Madrid :-)
Plaza Santa Ana: many tapasbars, from traditional to modern. We recommend "Turf" (yes it is a weird name).
Galician BBQ: behind the momument of Cervantes, extremely delcious and fun.
Mercado: So much food! Try everything!
El Tigre: get free tapas with your drinks, very crowdy but a nice experience.
Cervecerias: found in almost every street, good beer and good tapas.
Bazaar: terrific restaurant! Great food and not expensive.

Where to eat in Glasgow?

As we've only stayed in Glasgow for close to 3 days we didn't get a chance to try many restaurants but the two we did try deserve to be mentioned.
The Sir John Moore
A pub from the Wetherspoon-group. I haven't been to any of their other venues but if this is the standard I certainly will. Good atmosphere and great food!

An Irish Pub obviously ;-)
It was a terrific experience to see a live match here between Celtic and that other Glasgow club. And the food and the beer are great as well! Just looking at the menu makes my mouth water ;-)

How to get around in Scotland?

We didn't travel much in Scotland but we did go from Edinburgh to Glasgow and back. First I wanted to go by train but a friend from Scotland gave me a great tip: why not go by bus?
The buses are very very cheap indeed (just check this site: http://uk.megabus.com/default.aspx) and it's very easy to buy a ticket online.
The drivers are professionals and there is enough space to sit.
So if you want to go from A to B in Scotland cheap, fast and quite comfortable consider taking a bus ;-)

Surgeon's Hall Edinburgh

There are many nice things to visit in Edinburgh (see the pictures) but there's one where I wasn't allowed to take pics but which you should still visit:
Surgeon's Hall.
It's very interesting and has this great atmosphere of the Victorian days. Even if you are not interested in medicine this is well worth a visit.
