The SMAK is one of the best and most interesting modern art museums in Belgium. There is always something interesting, exciting and/or controversial to see here. If you are ever in this area you should check it out!

Guillaume Bijl is a Belgian artist who makes weird, un-real installations of modern live. He shows us our modern day and age posing as fake museums and fairs.
I think his work is really exciting because it is so surreal. There is no craftsmanship in his art and not even real beauty. His work is scary like an empty supermarket where the music is still playing and the lights are still on but where there is no-one to be seen or heard.
If you have a chance to see one of his installations I thoroughly recommend the experience ;-)
