Alechinsky from A to Y (KMSKB, Brussels, 23-1-2008)

Rating:★★★★★
Category:Other

A homage to this 80 year old Belgian artist (ok he lives in France nowadays).
He was an active member of the CoBrA-group but his works are so much better and more interesting than those of his "colleagues"!

I especially love his comic-like style paintings. You can see all kinds of weird stories there.
You should definitely see his works live because they are much more vibrant "in the flesh" than on print.

The exhibit site:here
Exhibit un till 30-3-2008.

  1. indeed, he gives many informations about his relation to Bruxelles and about exile in general in the audio-guide. the "black sea" ( boat on the ocean ) is a very nice illustration of his parent's travel also ( well, that's what i remember ). great great exhibition indeed.
