Shakesperian

An old poem I just found:

"Oh, if only we would talk this way

with all this open frank display

of deep sorrows and dismay

Yes, that would be the day

for which I will forever pray"

That's what you get from watching movies based on Shakespeare plays ;-)

Things to do in Barcelona: Food

Rating:★★★★★
Category:Other
Ah the food of Barcelona! It is so delicious! Almost everywhere you go they have good food so it's not easy to pick a place to eat ;-)
These are some of the places we liked best:

La Llavor dels Origens
Original Catalan food which changes with the seasons. There are 5 restaurants in Barcelona and still it's not always easy to get a table here.
But their food is extremely delicious so it's worth waiting for! And a nice extra for any-one who cannot go to Barcelona: there are recipes on the site!

Els Quatre Gats
Very well-known place in the Barri Gotica with brilliant food. Loads of artists used to visit this beautiful bar and the atmosphere is indeed fantastic!
This was one of the best dishes I've ever eaten so check it out: http://www.4gats.com/

Bossborn
A decent place to eat some nice tapas or some other Spanish speciality. Good quality and not too expensive. And very close to our hotel ;-)

Things to do in Barcelona: Museums

Fundació Joan Miró
A nice modern museum with loads of works from Miró and special exhibits. Well worth a visit if you like Miró.

Museu Etnològic
A small 1970's etno-museum with loads of interesting objects. Ok it's a bit stuffy and it's a mystery to me why they have some of the objects but it's nice for a late afternoon.

Museu Barbier-Mueller
A great collection of pre-Columbian art. A small museum in a beautiful old location. Highlights from most cultures so well worth a visit!

Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya
The grand museum of Catalan art. A palace filled with loads and loads of beautiful but mostly unknown works!

For other museums look at the photo-albums. If you plan to visit Barcelona and want to use the metro a lot and also visit many museums/sites the BCN-card is a great idea: http://www.barcelona-card.com/?gclid=CIjEu9O9rKICFYUx3godvzlzQA
