Now renovated and much better than before! Loads of information on the history of Brussels and special exhibits.

They have a pretty cool collection including my favourite: the stuffed horses that belonged to co-sovereigns Albrecht and Isabella (16/17th century!!).
The special exhibit E.D.E.N. is very very beautiful so check it out!

The Port de Hal is part of the museums for Art&History (KMKG-MRAH). More info here.

Zeeuws Museum (27-12-2008, Middelburg, NL)

Zeeland's biggest museum has finally re-opened after being closed for years and years and years. The "new" museum is brilliant!
They have quite an eclectic collection but they have found a perfect way of displaying it and even showing the connections.

If you want to see something about the history of the region, if you want to see what's going on now or if you just want to see beautiful things this is the place to go.
My favourites are of course the "Wunderkammers". There are three of them in the attic showing all kinds of objects: a mummy, shells, stuffed animals, Indian clothing, instruments, silver ornaments, etc. etc.

I've talked about this location before and it's still brilliant! We hope to go there a few times this summer for amazing concerts. http://www.tsmiske.be/

Our last visit was some time ago but I wanted to post the bands site so you can listen to them ;-)
HRSTA is a Canadian band with a front man that used to be in GodspeedYou!BlackEmperor. If you like that band (or other postrock-bands) you'll be interested in listening to HRSTA
